Yoga Nidra Meditation

Yoga Nidra is a simple practice and provides a profound level of relaxation. It is taught lying down and you are guided through several stages. You start by developing a Sankalpa (intention) for your life and for the practice. Then you learn to focus your awareness on your breath, bodily sensations, emotions, and thoughts. Throughout, you are encouraged to tap into an underlying sense of peace that is always present and to cultivate "witness consciousness," observing and welcoming whatever is present without getting caught up in it. It allows you to see yourself and your life in the most positive way. The practise of Yoga Nidra is about simply letting go.
