Over Giving In The Workplace

When you feel like you're not capable, inferior, inadequate, lacking the knowledge or the skills to do your job well do you push yourself harder? Work longer hours? Give more? Over commitment? Go over and beyond what the client has asked (and paid) for?

What is the impact of this on you, your team, family, health and happiness?

When we push something into the shadows it has control over us. We spend time and energy hiding it from others. We create strategies so that we don’t get found out. We over give thinking if we give more than others won’t notice our perceived shortcomings.

If you’re in a cycle of OVER GIVING AT WORK maybe ask yourself the following questions;

❓What are you choosing to believe about yourself?
❓How true is it?
❓What can you believe instead?
❓Who or what is contributing to you feeling this way? And what can you change about that?
